Re: Inauguration
I'm going, too. Looking forward to it. Say, Craig Finn plays in somebody's living room in Towson on Sat. Are you going?

Fairytale of NY. That's all I need. Plus a big chunk of Pannetone and a big glass of eggnog sans rum.
I might even listen to the KT Tunstall version once in a while.

Evan - Yeah, I had he cassette in the USA. It wore out and I was mortified. I agree, "Jump" is absolutely frightful.
Frank - Maybe sometime "Knife" will cross your path. Certainly worth a listen.

Aztec Camera
As a mullet-mopped hipster in 1989 I asked out the local punk girl for a date. For reasons I can't explain, she accepted. For our first date I decided to: 1) not see a Midnight screening of Pink Flamingoes, 2) not see Root Boy Slim in concert. Instead, I opted for a Rocky and Bullwinkle film festiva...

Where was I? I've never heard of this place.
Say, when's the last time you saw a Cool "Disco" Dan tag? I think I saw one on the Red Line the other day.

Lucero
I saw them in Baltimore (USA) about a month ago. They got rid of those blasted horns. Ben's voice was the best I'd ever heard it. I think all the other times I saw them, the poor guy was killing his voice trying to sing over those horns. Great show, by the way. Ben had to tell the crowd that if they...

Awesome! I hope it's an epic show. I'll hope against hope for a show at the 9:30.
Speaking of Dublin, I found my exact name scratched in the walls of Kilmainham Gaol. Wow.

Ah, great album. One of my favorite song (fragment) lines: "Drinking women, chasing whiskey". And the address of Elvis' dojo to boot. What's more to like?frank wrote:1372 Overton Park, every time. Easily their best, imho.

Fave Lucero Album?
Frank, what is your favorite Lucero album? Personally, I'll go with "Tennessee". It's so...well, to quote them from my not-so-reliable memory, "Sittin' round, waitin' for the phone to ring kind of songs."

My hands hurt the next day from the death grip I had on the steering wheel during the long way of nothing and nobody between there and the US border
This is why I take the train.

Re: Ottawa (Canada) Show - March 2016
I was in Montréal last February. It was about 8F on a sunny day and minus 8F at night. What's that in Celsius...wait, lemme check...-13 to -22. There's a lot of snow but nobody cares. Life just goes on. Bundle up. I wore a Swedish army parka, mittens, hat and scarf. I was fine once I got moving. How...
