SUMMERFEST, MILWAUKEE, WI 2014

Is there anyone on here who is planning to go to any Summerfest shows? I have a few in mind that I would like to hit, and it would be fun with friends. No one I know really likes Summerfest much anymore, or at least not the same bands I do. Everyone got old but me! Five Finger Death Punch anyone? Ri...

Re: The I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY Thread

Is this going to be your next tattoo? https://twitter.com/ShitTats/status/451073849611022336 VB's will be somewhat like that except she's going to name her sandwich after me. Cassie, I apologize, but my sandwich definitely isn't named after anybody. :P I'll get over. Let me just go sit in my room a...

Re: The I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY Thread

Can we talk about sandwiches, please? Nobody ever wants to talk about sandwiches, and it hurts my heart. I feel like it's because I'm not bringing it up properly, and I'm just kind of forcing it. Rather than just...casually mentioning that sandwiches are the bee's knees, and accumulating soulmates ...

Re: The I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY Thread

I am actually an expert sandwich maker. I have found that there is a science to the perfect sandwich. Its all about meat/cheese/lettuce/bread ratio. And proper placement of the lettuce. Stacking order is very important. And the right mustard is always Dijon or Spicy Brown.

Re: The "Everything Is Shit" Thread

We have a coffee machine at home. Yesterday I went to use it, was halfway through making my coffee before it started making a funny noise and went BANG! Not only did I break the coffee machine, I also managed to blow the fuse, had to reset the fuse box and the socket it was plugged into has had to ...

Re: The I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY Thread

I'm getting my first tattoo tomorrow! First tattoo! Congrats! What are you getting/where are you getting it? Wow I'm so lame just seeing this. Sorry, late response, but thanks for asking. I got the lyrics "be prepared to bleed" (from A Case of You, Joni Mitchell) next to a treble clef across the le...

Re: Prufrock recitation

Cheers. Thought you meant it was a recitation of Eliot's Love Song of J Alfred Prufrock (Frank recited The Dry Salvages a while back!) This is cool though. Sorry, no, I meant Frank's own song. But seriously, if you are a Dylan fan or a Woody Guthrie fan, check this out. I just think their deliverie...

Re: Nelsonville Music Festival

I've heard Nelsonville can be nice :-) It's just that it is an 8 hour drive. Hard to justify. But then again, Frank will be there. So that makes it easy to justify to myself. Harder to justify to the friends I'm trying to convince to be my travel companions.

Re: If you really built a Time Machine ...

If I could go back I would relive the first Aerosmith concert I went to with my big brother when I was 16. And I would relive the time we went and saw Aerosmith 5years later play with KISS. That was the last show I saw with him. I would love love love to go back and see Jimi Hendrix or Stevie Ray Va...

Re: Nelsonville Music Festival

Just go through the line-up and listen to a song or two. Then you'll know if it's worth the trip (personally I wouldn't go to a festival just to see one act) and you'll know who else to check out whilst you're there. This is how I discover a lot of new music. Yeah spent my evening last night doing ...

Nelsonville Music Festival

So, I may be going to this in May. It's about a 9 hour drive, but probably the closest you'll be to my city this year. I will probably stay for the whole festival, but I don't recognize a lot of the bands. Do you know any of the other acts? Who should I definitely check out?

Prufrock recitation

Someone shared a link on Facebook to you reciting "Prufrock" as a poem. It was really lovely done that way. Your style kind of reminded me of Bob Dylan's "Last Thoughts On Woody Guthrie". I was wondering if you've ever heard it. If not you should look it up. It's really good. It was on one of his bo...
