Re: UK Tour April 13

Anyone have any idea how many presale tickets went onsale relative to the overall amount of tickets?

Forum tickets sold out while we were entering payment details, so keeping fingers crossed for Friday… :(

Re: Tim Barry Recommendation

I downloaded Rivanna Junction from iTunes and loved it, as a result of the Swansea gig – he's a pretty big reason for my keenness to find tickets for the Bath gig, too. I've also bookmarked Manchester, as well.

Why not give him a listen on Grooveshark and see what best suits your taste?

Re: Frank Turner and British Literary Traditions (help me)

Reading the discussion I'm not sure if you're after references to England, or English influences, but pretty certain a house with 'high windows' is a philip larkin reference I've always seen Father's Day as playing off this Simon Armitage poem: http://revisionworld.co.uk/gcse-revision/english/poetr...

Re: Frank Turner and British Literary Traditions (help me)

Just a thought, but would it not be easier/more focused to concentrate largely on one album (England Keep My Bones being the obvious idea) and how it builds on these themes – and then focus back to older songs occasionally where relevant to support your argument?

Ok , am I the only one who had to look up what a gerund is? Lol, I love this forum, you learn so much :D
I did, and I'm supposed to be an English student... Shameful.
I did, and I'm a subeditor...

Re: best band you've seen this year??

I think it was probably Japandroids at Heaven at the end of last month.

Slow Club in Bristol, Billy Bragg at Field Day and FT Wembley gig were all pretty great, too.

Re: Introduce Yourself

I'm Emma. I'm 24, live in Bristol and work as a magazine production editor.

Think I've been a fan for about four years or so?
