Re: Tape Deck Heart

When I first listened to Tape Deck Heart, early this morning, I was a tad worried as it didn't "grab" me, but after only a few listens, the repeat listening reaps so many rewards, Fisher King Blues is my favourite track so far, the last minute or so of that song are going to be epic when played live...

Re: What albums should everyone listen to at least once?

1) The Soft Bulletin - Flaming Lips
2) Nebraska - The Boss
3) England Keep My Bones - Mr Frank Turner
4) Dog Man Star - Suede
5) Live Bullet - Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Bands.
6) London Calling - The Clash
7) Born To Run - The Boss

There are so many, but this is just off the top of my head

Re: Four Simple Words

Fantastic song, I got caught out singing along to it yesterday at the top of my lungs thinking I was alone and some-one was in the next room, looking good for the new album.

On a side note, but is it just me or does the start of the song remind any-body of "Always look on the bright side of life"

UK Tour Dance Competition

Watching 4 simple words yesterday got me thinking, have we had a definitive winner/Top 3 as to which audience on the recent tour were the best dancers in the dance competition, I was at the Truro Gig and I seem to remember you saying we were the best, am I to be corrected?

Re: Does anyone ever worry about music related tattoos??

I don't have any Music Tattoos, but I have what was printed on the back of James Dean Porsche Spyder, in the same style, on my right arm and if anybody who knows James Dean will know what that is and some may find it offensive, if you don't like bad Language. But it means some-thing to me, James Dea...

Re: Springsteen

I have been a fan of "The Boss" for a number of years, he just seems to be getting better as he gets older, some of the tracks on Wrecking Ball like, "Jack of All Trades" & "Death to my Hometown" are especially good. The Seeger sessions gets over-looked as well, but again there is some great tracks ...

I had never heard of Tim Barry until The Truro Gig, picked up Manchester & Rivanna Junction CD's last night, driving the long way home late last night with Rivanna Junction on was really special.

Re: Introduce Yourself

Hello, My name is Dean and I Live in Cornwall and I cannot wait to see Frank on his tour when he comes to Truro in November. I am ashamed to say that I had not heard much about Frank, until I happened upon England Keep My Bones a few weeks ago, the cover had all sort of plaudits on it and as I was d...
