Have you come across Chris Webb or Gaz Brookfield? Can't claim to know either of them personally but both good singer-songwriters you could get in touch with

I don't know if it's anything to go on but I met Michael Eavis at the Bath gig so he's definitely seen him live recently...

Reading the discussion I'm not sure if you're after references to England, or English influences, but pretty certain a house with 'high windows' is a philip larkin reference

I wondered this. I was blown away by the song when I first heard it but for me the self-harm stuff in it is metaphorical, it got to me more as a very moving expression of how much one person can affect you.

Least of all young Caroline

Hi, So I know you tend to reveal a lot of yourself in your songs and don't generally divulge much more when asked so I'm not asking for the full story behind these lyrics... just wanted to let you know you've totally freaked my mum out. She left home at 16 to live in squats, caravans etc- she says i...

Re: Your all time Top 10 Frank Turner songs???

I have Campfire Punkrock but never got The First Three Years as nearly all the tracks on it I'd already acquired elsewhere... I just meant it wasn't on the studio albums so is perhaps a little less well known. An awesome song that I believe deserves more points!

Re: Your all time Top 10 Frank Turner songs???

Surprised to hear that 'this town...' only has 1 point - I considered including it in my top 10 at first as I can relate to its sentiment of growing up in small town mentality. It got 1 point from me, I'm surprised that's all it has too. It was the first solo FT song I ever heard, is a painfully ac...

Re: New Songs (2012)

The first live performance of Tell Tale Signs! Frank calls it the last of the trilogy of songs about 'the' Amy. Tell Tale Signs When I thought that suffering was something profound that weighed down wise heads I'm not just something to be avoided something normal people dread Tiny amendment, but I ...

Not sure the church or crematorium is gonna let you play the entirity of Eulogy, not that you'll care by then.....lol Can I assume 'I am Disappeared' is your favourite of that ten and therefore to be allocated 10 points? Bossman Yes, sorry I did it backwards... I'd make some loose threats about 'if...

Re: Your all time Top 10 Frank Turner songs???

I feel like this list might be totally different if I wrote it again tomorrow, was hard to whittle down. 10) This Town Ain't Big Enough For The One Of Me ... First FT song I heard, my home town all over. 9) Worse Things Happen At Sea... who hasn't felt like this?! Love the anger pouring out the seco...

Re: Next round?

Having been to BT Live last night I'd say he's already too big time to do certain Hyde Park shows. Fuck knows who I was watching but they were abysmal. Also, £5 for a pint of Heineken . Wow. This is what kills me about every festival/huge concert I have ever worked or gone to. Expensive Western Eur...

Bath

Hi,

Its months away but while I think of it, any chance of 'Back in the Day' at Bath in December? Coming with lots of friends and family for my 24th and it's my mum's favourite!
