Nottingham run times?

I noticed it's early doors at Rock City next Friday. Any ideas what time the show is set to finish? Trying to arrange travel. Cheers!

Re: Placebo

Thanks. Like a lot of people, I like the old stuff best. Newer work seems to be going through the motions. Maybe I'll have a go at getting a ticket.

Placebo

Has anyone been to see them live? I've liked them for a long time but no one I know does. They're playing near me and I'm wondering what the crowd tends to be like....if it's a good gig for a forty-something woman to go to on her own? (It's at Hull City Hall, pretty small for them, could be amazing.)

Re: Need insight here.....

I loved them both times. They are a perfect warm up imo. Sad there was no unicorn song last night.

....but the one that gets me most, and my kids I'm sorry to say, is the live recording of Father's Day. But Poetry of the Deed makes it better :) "Life is too short to live without poetry".....Damn right it is.

Re: Your first cry to a FT song

I can't remember my first ever cry to a Frank Turner song because my following Frank has coincided with the collapse of my 25 year marriage and a struggle to regain some sort of control and happiness in my life. His songs have helped me with that massively and I have cried often; I would thank him w...

Who was the guy with the plate?

In Hull last night there was a guy on the balcony with what looked like a plate which Frank acknowledged. It's bugging me what the story is. Does anyone know? (And kudos to Hull.....best FT gig I've been to.)

Re: New Tour Announcement

Got tickets for Nottingham and Sheffield by clicking on the presale link on Franks FB page. None for Lincoln seem to be available which is my actual local venue. I keep refreshing and cross my fingers, very happy to have two gigs sorted though!

It might have me and Moomin shouting "Nooooooooooooooooo!" when people jumped up too early. Frank even said when to jump up and still people did it too early.
Everyone went too early at the paradiso too.

Re: Who were the first band you saw live?

Showaddywaddy. In about 1977. They can still be caught on the Butlins/Pontins circuit I believe. (First musician I saw live was Acker Bilk and individual performer was David Essex - I guess my age will be coming apparent by now.)
