Re: Be what you believe

Re: Be what you believe

Hey everyone, here´s another song/poem. I hope you like it. Be what you believe Will this be a biggie or another boring track? Will the sky stay brightly or will it turn to black? Will you be a winner or another old sad sack? Will the wind of changes blow or will we be thrown back? Will you live wi...

Re: What is your tribe?

I enjoyed reading your post, welcome.

I can only relate to an extent. I feel at home on trains or towns I used to live in. But after about a week they don't feel like home any more. My tribe is a bunch of books written by dead people and various friends scattered around the country.

Rob the Liar debut EP

Might as well post this here seeing as Frank is a fairly big influence of mine, as are related artists such as Ben Marwood and Beans on Toast, so hopefully some people here will enjoy it :)

Also any feedback is welcome!

I am trying to work through the Roskilde band list in preparation for the festival.
Polish death metal is not my thing, but always good to try out something different.
Saw Behemoth playing outside during a thunderstorm once. I'm not a fan in general but that was just epic.

Nothing wrong with self promotion but join in the banter and don't just come back when your next song is out.

Re: Frank Turner: Sellout

I think people take the term 'sell out' too literally, as in 'someone who sells out venues'. Frank would be a sell out if this was what the term meant. But I think it really means something more like 'cashing in, at the expense of your values and responsibilities, with superficial motives', and I do...

Ah cool thanks SB, that would be great :)

Also I glanced on here the other day and someone had replied but I didn't have time to reply back until now. Now that post has gone... Whoever you were, come back!

Re: Who to send an EP to, to get it reviewed?

I do. However, I guess I was thinking of things especially dedicated to acoustic, punky, folky kind of stuff. Or at least who would sympathise with the DIY, antifolk approach.

Who to send an EP to, to get it reviewed?

Hopefully this is the right section for this! Basically, if I had an acoustic folk-punk EP, and I'm unsigned and its my debut, where would the best places be to send it to to get it reviewed? I'm thinking like blogs and magazines and things, but anything really.

Re: Southampton Joiners 24/06

Ah I got given a wrist band pretty much at the last minute, what an amazing show! Sean and Dean especially smashed it. Hopefully Frank will take them on tour, they work really well playing with him. And hearing My Kingdom for a Horse, Worse Things Happen At Sea and Once We Were Anarchists was amazin...

Made me smile too! I know nothing about the genre so I can't really comment helpfully however.
