Re: Politics/Wembley

I haven't been on in a bit... I think you could say that the common ground between Frank and Billy comes from them having the same ultimate priorities like ddavidu is saying, despite different ideas concerning how to bring those priorities about. Any political ideology you might possess is generally...

Cover: After the Rush Hour - Million Dead

I accept that this is sort of spamming, but I'm also genuinely interested to hear any feedback you might have:

It's not perfect and the sound quality is really poor, but please let me know what you think.

Re: Politics/Wembley

I guess I'm in agreement with other comments made here - I'm a musician first and foremost, I want to play music and listen to music. I love and respect Billy as a songwriter, and it's his right within his songs to say whatever he likes. The focus of the night (and of most of what I do, incidentall...

Re: I need information for my English degree

I love Steinbeck but I've only read a few and only one recently...which was Cannery Row, which I was re-reading for some a-level coursework as it's my favourite. If you like Frank I'd be surprised if you didn't enjoy it, there's also a second book called Sweet Thursday.

Can we expect a move towards more million-dead-esque lyrics?

Frank's newer material strikes me as very different in style and subject matter to what was on his first two solo albums. Because the content of his first two albums (which I actually prefer to the Million Dead albums) seemed so deeply personal it sort of makes sense to me that they inevitably lost ...

Re: Libertarian Things

Of course that's fine, ironically I imagine this is a better forum for politics than any of the ones that are actually dedicated to the subject... The implementation point is interesting - it certainly seems more pragmatic, although as you seem to be suggesting yourself, a preference for a cold, log...

Here's hoping this side-project is eventually named "In it for the Tank".

Libertarian Things

Despite being scared of poisoning a beautiful musical place with politics I am a little intrigued by this. The whole libertarian thing makes a huge amount of sense to me up to the point where powerful people could start making the world just as freedom-less and devoid of emotion as politics as we kn...

Jake Morley - Many Fish to Fry

Thoughts? I've been following him for a few months now, and saw him last night in the Jazz Cafe in Camden where he was totally in the zone - amazing night. He also seems to know Ed Harcourt. He seemed to me like the sort of person who quite a few of Frank's fans would love: http://soundcloud.com/jak...
