Just received my copy - it's Regio 0 and NTSC, so should play fine everywhere!
Excellent, thanks. I ordered one anyway but I'm glad to have it confirmed it'll play on my player when it gets here. Can't wait for it to arrive.

Re: Get Better DVD Region

Region and PAL/NTSC are two different things. Even if the region is international, if it is PAL format it won't play in most US DVD players. Frank, Xtra Mile etc keep saying it will play world-wide so I'm assuming there's an NTSC version going to folks who ordered in the US.

Re: Non-Frank Gigs

Last month I saw Tom Chaplin (formerly Keane's frontman, now solo) in DC and NYC ... anyone who has to suffer through following me on social media knows how much I've missed Keane, so hearing his voice again was amazing. With Keane I felt he was the best live vocalist I've ever seen and his recent s...

Re: Non-Frank Gigs

McCartney and Coldplay were amazing as I expected. Paul had quite a few different songs in the set from when I saw him last year, so that was fun. And I never get tired of the stuff he always puts in there. Coldplay were worth 500 miles of back and forth driving in two days. I was worried the stadiu...

Re: Non-Frank Gigs

Seeing Paul McCartney on Tuesday, super excited as it's always a treat seeing him. Then going up to NYC (well, NJ) for Coldplay next Sunday ... very emotional about that, they were the band that made me really fall in love with music. Their first three albums resonated with me more than recent ones,...

Re: Non-Frank Gigs

Had the most incredible experience this week seeing The National back-to-back nights in Aspen. The trip was sort of a hail-mary effort, I almost couldn't make it happen but did what I had to. Totally worth it. This venue is 450 people and the stage is just tiny. No barrier. I've been waiting for a f...

Re: Non-Frank Gigs

I saw El Vy in Philadelphia on Tuesday night ... it's the side project of The National's Matt Berninger and Menomena's Brent Knopf. Being as I adore The National I had listened to a couple songs and thought they sounded great, but almost didn't go because I've been worried about money. Decided last...

Re: Non-Frank Gigs

Just saw Paul McCartney two more times in State College, Pa., and Toronto. Great road trip, fall colors and plenty of time to poke along and enjoy them. It was neat seeing the show in State College because that where I had my first job and first place I lived on my own. Paul's shows are unlike anyth...

Re: Top 10 Favorite Songs

Tough one because it's hard to compare something I've loved since I was 7 to something that came out two years ago, but I'll have a go. Sure I'm forgetting something. 1. Comfortably Numb, Pink Floyd - Easy one. This is to me the best song ever written. I have probably listened to this song more than...

Re: What Music Did You First Buy with your Own Money?

I have no idea what the first thing I would have bought with money I earned was, but if allowance or birthday/Christmas money counts, probably my Beatles cassettes. I know I had (because I still have) the red and blue albums, but think I had a couple before that ... maybe Early Beatles and Meet The ...

Re: Non-Frank Gigs

On Friday I saw what might top them all for me: Roger Waters at Newport Folk Festival, with help from G.E. Smith, My Morning Jacket, violinist Sara Watkins, Lucius, and Amy Helm (Levon's daughter). I think people overuse the word "surreal" but this really was ... I was on barrier right in front of R...

I'm pretty sure we do, at the Wilmington Riverfront. I've never been to that one, looks like a lot of fun though.

Re: Non-Frank Gigs

A late report, but a couple weeks ago I did Firefly Festival in Delaware. I waffled on this forever due to cost but ultimately decided I'd be a total idiot to pass up a chance to see Paul McCartney in my home state. Going was a great decision for Paul's set alone, everything else was icing on the ca...

Re: Non-Frank Gigs

Twice drove down to DC in the last few days ... Sunday for The Vaccines and last night for Royal Blood and Mini Mansions. The Vaccines were fantastic, I hadn't seen them since Lolla in 2011 and obviously they have a lot more under their belt now. Already planning to see them a couple more times in l...
