Well, I never have nothing to say. So, here goes. Hurricanes are dicks.
My sister's brother-in-law got sent to Puerto Rico to work with FEMA. I was like, why?, isn't he a dentist? Yeah. He's being sent to identify people by dental records. Fuuuuck.

This amused me. Just one more reason why I simply cannot interact with the FB lot.
Ha. I definitely have nothing to say on FB today. The debate has been mostly quite civil though.

Re: The I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY Thread

It's been over a year since we've had nothing to say. Just sayin'!

I picked out some new eyeglass frames today, and I made sure to get the flexible kind that you can twist without breaking so they survive crowd surfers and exuberant moshers.

Re: Tickets without Ticketmaster

I tend to refer to them as TicketBastard, but really they're just charging customers for a service with the goal of making a profit, just like any other business. I imagine that they could be providing that service at a much lower markup, but I also can't really blame them for charging what people a...

Re: Boston gig - largest non-UK headlining venue?!?

I have to say I was FUCKING BLOWN AWAY. What a great, great show! Not my first, but I have the same reaction to every single show. I'd been waiting to see an arena-size show. All those voices singing. I love that. And what a great pilgrimage event for US fans. People came from all over the country....

Re: Let's Make a GIS of Frank Turner Shows

Filling this out is giving me a huge case of "oh, shit, why didn't I go to that show, and that show, and that show??"

Re: Let's Make a GIS of Frank Turner Shows

OMG Zoe, the "frank Stats" spreadsheet. I'm dying at the category descriptions for the songs: "I hate you all, especially you, Amy" I'm a little cranky right now and feel sorry for myself" "Life is great, let's play some songs! I might even have a girlfriend right now."

Re: [edit] Show 2002

Whatever show # it turns out to be, I'm in. To be honest I didn't realize it was so close in time or distance to the inauguration until I started looking for hotels and they were all sold out. I plan to get the hell out of dodge after the show. I don't want to be anywhere near DC in the morning.

Re: Springsteen

This needs to circulate (hope you don't mind, Frank). The Arkells playing 'stump Frank' with Springsteen covers. Does well. No teleprompter! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYqX9_uhMPY Haha. That was great. Excellent job. I've seen Bruce totally blank on the lyrics to Hungry Heart when he couldn't ...

Re: 1031 in Willmington, DE show

Yes. I thought they were massive dickheads for interrupting the show to put their personal lives in the spotlight. At least have the decency to ask in advance. Frank was too nice for putting up with that.

Re: When Will More Northeast US/Canada? dates Be Announced?

I gotta say, these dates are perfect. Montreal and Boston on Saturdays? Yes, please and thank you. You're spoiling us Northeasterners, Frank. I hope I like Arkells, because I'll be seeing them a lot!

Re: Meeting Frank

This graphic was published last week regarding bands fans travel distances for. I cracked up when I saw the distances. They are babies. http://www.vividseats.com/blog/infographic-whose-fans-go-the-distance Yeah. I drive 40 miles (one way) to get to work every day. They probably identified people wi...

Re: The I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY Thread

I think it's D, but I am definitely more of an A person. Keep in mind that I have , indeed, been fired for "insubordination", after confronting my boss and having an open and frank discussion about her management style. Soooooooo Actually, the correct answer is B, per this explanation: "The two uni...
