That would be great! Even though I'm afraid it would be like Chumbawamba's Swingin' with Raymond for me, the other side (Love/-) being way better than the other (Hate/+).

Re: New album

Hmmm. Strange. I have to admit didn't really like Get Better all that much when I first heard it, and reading or hearing somewhere that the new album would be "more upbeat" made me shiver. (I've always preferred the self-pity ballads (now there's a name for a future compilation), I guess.) And since...

Ok, here it is. Not sure how long I'll keep it there, enjoy it while it lasts.

Not sure. If there's green light from Frank, I can post it somewhere, at least temporarily. (Would still need to figure out where, since I don't think it qualifies to the Live Music Archive.)

Tuntuma, Lohja, Finland, 22nd of July, 2006

I recently came across a memory-card I thought was long lost which had a recording of this gig made with my Nokia 6600. The phone ran out of memory (if you've ever used a Symbian S60 phone, you know what I'm talking about), so the recording only includes part of the show. The set-list for that part ...

Re: Finland in winter

(Casanova Lament was another nice surprise, don't think I've heard that live since 2006, if even then.) Oh my fucking god did he really play casanova lament??? If he doesn't tomorrow I'll be so sad :( (sorry for swearing but seriously) Yes. I think it was requested by one of the people who went to ...

Re: Finland in winter

Massive thanks to Frank & the guys and everyone else met along the way! Let's see how long it takes before I start spamming your email again about coming back to Finland! Didn't Ben already trick him yesterday into promising to come back this year? On stage, of course, so there were about th...

Re: Finland in winter

After travelling around 900 kilometers to catch three shows in as many days, I'm finally back on my sofa. I can't understand how musicians can cope with touring for weeks or months or constantly, in Frank's case, after just three days I'm exhausted, and I never had to sleep in a hotel or play a show...

Re: Finland in winter

WikiTravel's Helsinki page is pretty nice as well. I haven't spent enough time in Turku to say whether the same can be said about its entry on WT , but at least the restaurant recommendations are good enough. I recommend checking at least one of the bars built in a former a) public toilet, b) pharma...

Re: Finland in winter

The only time Frank's been here with the Sleeping Souls was on a Sunday night and it was still a great gig, so a Friday night should be something else. I'm still hoping I can avoid working on Thursday and Friday so I can see the Turku and Tampere gigs as well. Unfortunately I was sick last week, so...

If technology is far enough advanced that Pro Tools can make someone who is tone deaf sound pitch perfect after post-production, why is there not yet a piece of software you can simply feed guitar music into and get instant tabs out? Is there something I'm missing? Does it already exist? There are ...

I registered here over two years ago after I saw Frank live and fell in love, but I don't think I've ever introduced myself. Eetu, 29, male, Helsinki, Finland. I'm ashamed that I completely missed the second time Frank was in Finland, so I'm hoping there'll be a third time. And I'm willing to help o...
