Re: request for tonight's show

& The Bossman (who's not been to these pages for a while) will be at the show too. My first since the Exeter Cavern show earlier this year. I have two Frank 'virgins' going tonight. They like AC/DC & Green Day respectively. I've told them it'll be more raucous than they're expecting, so I'd refer ev...

How have you got tickets?

I've not had the pre-sale link yet!

Re: Boss in Paris

Hi Watergirl, Were you right up at the barrier at the Bruce gig in Rome? Were you also at the FT gig in Belfast this year? Due to delayed flights and then a confused taxi driver we didn't get to the Circus Maximus until much later then we'd intended, so were quite far back, and watched the gig thro...

Exeter Cavern

Is it solo tonight Frank? Or with the band?

Any chance of a Springsteen cover for the Bossman?

Re: Exeter, Cavern show announced....

They refused to sell me one when I rang, can't get there to buy one in person, so that's me out sadly. But glad you got one. I shall just have to console myself with Will Varley and Chris t-t. I'm not sure where you're from and I do understand your frustration, especially having failed to secure ti...

Exeter, Cavern show announced....

Today a show was announced at Exeter's Cavern venue, capacity just 220! I was 1st in the queue at 9pm, though some had gotten tickets earler I understand. In fact there aren't tickets, just a list behind the bar, with my name on one. So excited, as I had to miss the Nov shows due to a trip to the US...

Re: New cd reviews...........

Should've posted this one a few weeks ago too: 'Cradle To The Grave' by Squeeze is pretty good. Enjoying the single 'Lazy Days', the title track and 'Open' best I think, but nothing I can say I really dislike on it. Their 1st new album for many years, although only Difford and Tilbrook of the origin...

Re: New cd reviews...........

Listening to the new Rod Stewart, 'Another Country'. Not quite as good as 'Time', but strong throughout again. A Tragedy in my mind that he spent SO long on the Great American Songbook and previously rock covers albums, when he had the ability to write good strong songs the whole time, as he's now s...

Yes, sorry. Memory lapse. Also not Chuck Berry (You Never Can Tell) or Shania Twain too

Re: New cd reviews...........

It upsets me that you clarified that My Hero was not the Foo Fighters song by offering no such clarity on C'est La Vie. Imagine my disappointment when I searched for the track only to discover it wasn't a cover of the glorious B*Witched song Sorry Pete. I need a 'like' button for your reply. Afraid...

Re: New cd reviews...........

And another pretty nice one is 'Keep The Village Alive' by The Stereophonics. They've developed into a pretty solid outfit in my opinion. The singles 'C'Est La Vie' and 'I Wanna Get Lost With You' led me to this one and there are other solid tracks like 'White Lies', 'Song For The Summer' and 'My He...
