Re: Swearing

When I took my boys to Trees last year (they were then 8 and 6) they heard plenty of choice language. The youngest didn't even notice it, the eldest knows that sometimes grown ups swear, and that it's a grown up thing to do. But, I knew when I booked the tickets that there would be swearing, and tha...

Re: UK TOUR!!

I've made the decision - after missing a year's worth of gigs that I had booked - to not try for this tour. The disappointment of tickets and plans having to be cancelled because I'm not well isn't fun. If I'm well I'll be on the lookout here/on Twitter for last minute tickets. I'm really hoping to ...

Re: The "Everything Is Shit" Thread

It's a bit embarrassing to post about my petty aggravations after reading some of the previous posts on this thread. But I can say I'm truly sorry for the trouble in your lives, and I hope things are better for you. My gripe is with the date July 1st. The absolute worst day to be in an American uni...

Re: More UK gigs this year???

Oh, bollocks. Not only did I miss the last tour due to an epic 5 month hospital stay, I also missed this announcement. Have tickets been on sale & sold out? Or have they not been released yet ? I've done a search but can't find tickets so if anybody knows if/where I can grab one from please let me k...

I'd do what she says, Evan. I've heard she gets violent when she doesn't get her way.
Take heed from Hindi, Evan. Val has even been known to *whispers* throw tomatoes in people's faces in an American diner in the middle of the night. Nothing but trouble, that one.

Re: Prince

Darlenet - if I found out anyone took a picture of me, or I just happened to be in the background of one, when I was in ITU I would be spitting feathers. What the fuck?! Although I did take (faceless) photos of my central and Hickman lines (respectively) to send to my hospital working friends becaus...

Re: Prince

I agree with Evan. In fact I'm a bit of a twat - I was watching Rufus Wainwright and the person in front of me was recording the entire show on a camera, so I informed an usher (there were signs requesting no recording) and had them thrown out. As the gig was seated the light from the camera, and wh...

Re: 12/02/14 Tubes

I would always, always, always use the Thames Clipper (if you possibly can) after going to the O2. Not only is there very rarely a queue (unlike the mad squashed crowds for the tubes), for me it is always a beautiful way to end a night.

Timetables are easily enough found via Google.

Re: The "Everything Is Shit" Thread

Just ending my 11th week in hospital. Now in a different hospital (I was moved to Oxford) but fucking fed up of it all and just want to go home, to the pub, to not be in constant pain. Oh, and I'd quite like to be able to move my legs again. Fucker. This attack is worst than the last, no sensation o...

Software Help

Hi, this is a completely random request for help, but as a lot of you a brilliant at a lot of different things I thought it worth an ask for forum help with this! I've been helping a fellow forum member out with their CV. As well as rewriting the copy I've reformatted to make it look smart/professio...

Re: "Think Before You Ink"

So does anyone on here have a tattoo they regret? Planned or unplanned? I have tattoos that I wouldn't have done now, but I don't regret any of them. For me, they are more than an item of art. They signify that part in my life, the people I was with, the relationships I've been in. The town where I...

Re: Not a question but a statement.

We're a big bunch of 'sickies' here yorkypud, (I guess I should really only speak for myself!) so feel free to talk about anything here - more of us than you would probably imagine know how it feels to live with a chronic illness. It sounds like you're going through a really tough time at the moment...
