Re: Non-Frank Gigs
Hopefully they'll tour later on in the year.
They've just announced a short run in November, and then they're out again in February supporting Mineral. Based on what I saw in Bristol, I'll be getting to as many of those as I can... more new songs. yaay! :D

Re: Non-Frank Gigs

I'm working near Bristol tomorrow and Thursday so I'm hoping to get to the free (Jim Lockey and the) Solemn Sun gig at the Exchange. Depends what time I get finished whether I get there or not but here's hoping!! Bloody hell... did you make it? That was frickin' awesome. Such a massive step forward...

Re: 2000 Trees 2014

Jim Lockey did a solo set according to his twitter, did you catch that? Where and when are they in Bristol? No, I didn't hear about it and got there too late... Apparently, they're playing in The Exchange on 6th August, but as Solemn Sun, with a completely new set? So far though I can't find ...

Re: 2000 Trees 2014

The festival just gets better and better, as far as the music goes, the usual suspects for me, so Joe Summers, Cadbury's, and Boat to Row were nice to see and familiar faces.... The new layout works brilliantly, I was worried the Axiom might be too close to The Cave, but it seemed to work pretty wel...

Night and Day - Manchester

The Manchester City Council have placed a noise abatement notice on the venue, which has been operating for 23 years. This is as a result of a complaint from a single resident who moved in a year ago... if you're at all concerned about the state of live music in this country, and would like to get i...

Definitely worth setting up your tent around Camden; loads of venues and a great selection of cheapish food from the stalls in the market! Dublin Castle is pretty good too, and has some good history behind it. And, there's a pub in Kilburn, which may, or may not be called The Good Ship, where the ba...
