Definitely the hardest bit of guitar I've played on a record to date!
No offense, but I wasn't sure it was you playing that. It was really great, but nothing exactly like I'd heard from you before.

Re: Your opinion of gig presales?

Tbf that's exactly the reason why I did enter three of my mail addresses on that website, even tho I already did purchase the vinyl from the official shop. I just didn't trust the system to take all the mail addresses from the orders into the then newly founded presale mailout list. Never trust any...

Re: Your opinion of gig presales?

Unfortunately, there was a snafu this time, and it didn’t work out so well for some of us in the US. Those of us that preordered the album the day Frank announced it (prior to the tour announcement), didn’t get the proper presale code sent to us. We were sent the UK one, and some couldn’t get it sor...

Bluegrass

Hi Frank! I’ve been so excited about this new album, and Dora Hand was not a disappointment. I’ve listened to bluegrass for ages, and that song is as good as any. My question is, how did you prepare for that song, because though you play folk and country, this was, to me, decidedly bluegrass? Thanks...

Re: Is anyone out there?!

Hello! Here in Spirit! I’m a bit more gun shy about commenting on social media these days, as I’ve gotten myself in a few kerfuffles. That being said, this is my favorite group, and I have had some great conversations here. Right now, looking forward to a few FT & SS Shows next month. Especially loo...

It's been over a year since we've had nothing to say. Just sayin'!
Well, I never have nothing to say. So, here goes. Hurricanes are dicks.

Florida workshop

Hey Frank:

Your event in Sanibel looks cool! Your workshops at Lost Evenings were so well done, I'm sure this will be too. And it is a lovely island to boot. Just curious if you were aware that FEST in Gainesville is the weekend before, just a mere 4 hours drive. Any thoughts?

Cheers! Darlene

MORE! Lost Evenings

Frank: Thank you so much for an amazing festival that absolutely must become an annual event. I was worried (well, not really) that four shows in a row might feel repetitious, but the shows each had their own unique feel. I adored the touch of the checkered shirts for SIFTW night. But I would say on...

Re: Lost Evenings support

Plus, since the sad announcement that Chris T-T will not be making new music, this is a grand opportunity to see him. I'm a massive fan of his music and writings, and being from America,I really didn't think I'd get the chance to see him perform live. But I am so excited to get to see him at Lost Ev...

Re: Meeting Frank

I met Frank in Portland last year. He was absolutely fantastic! I had driven about 600 miles to see the show. It's a tougher life than I can imagine - but he made me feel like I was his biggest fan. I'll see the show tomorrow night in Oakland - only 100 miles this time. I won't be disappointed. Thi...

Re: The I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY Thread

Obviously the answer is E. Back away quietly and pretend you didn't hear anything. I go with F. Assign people to a focus group to determine who will serve on the subcommittee. Then both groups meet back with recommendations. Which will then be not implemented until more data collection is done. By ...

Welcome, Michael! This is a pretty cool forum. There are many music lovers that have many experiences to share here. And some sarcastic "old timers" (they are my favorites) with great insight. Also a great place to trade tickets. Enjoy!

Re: The I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY Thread

Since it seems like everyone has an opinion to share on something these difficult days, I thought I'd resurrect this thread. I just want to say that I listened to Me First and the Gimmee Gimmees a lot today. I felt better. That's all.
