DJ at Kendal Calling

What kind of stuff is on the playlist? I think everyone is disappointed with Tinie Tempah headlining. It doesn't really fit in with the festival. First time here and it's a cracking little festival. I read you get the blame for all the rain!!!! The damage is long done after the last couple of days.

Re: Did anyone use Gigs and Tours for their tickets?

I appreciate reasons for not sending them out until late on, but two days is far too close. Many people travel for concerts and often leave a couple of days in advance to make a weekend of it. I'm due to heading away on the Thursday, before the gig on the Saturday, and might not even have the ticket...

Did anyone use Gigs and Tours for their tickets?

I ordered my tickets through them this time for a change. It has now turned out that I'm unlikely to make the concert now and will likely have to sell the tickets on. I did hope by this stage I'd have the tickets in hand, but I haven't. I sent an email to question when delivery was predicted and I w...

Re: Safe Gigs for Women

That's completely wrong, but I do think it's exceptionally rare. For all the years I've been going to concerts nobody in my company has suffered anything like that. At the Frank gig in Glasgow in November 2015 a cup of Urine did splash my girlfriend. I do love Glasgow for a gig, and they have many g...

Re: The Maccabees

I think their latest album is actually really good.

As soon as I've got into them they've split.

I read they wanted to go out on a high.

Has anyone ever requested a refund for a concert before?

Curious if anyone has ever done this before, with any success? A group of us went to Bryan Adams on Sunday night in Montrose. It was an outdoors gig and I had bought the tickets as a gift. They weren't the cheapest at £49 each plus all the usual inflated Ticketmaster fees. There was no support at th...

Re: Meeting Frank

I've never felt the need to stay back for a chat. When leaving Aberdeen a couple of years back I shook his hand on the way past. I thought that was sufficient and pretty sure most artists would get fed up running over the same idle chit chat all the time. This is my favourite thread about someone me...

Re: Brexit

You just need to spend a little time listening and reading the reasons why people voted to realise that my opinion isn't condescending. Part of the reason so many people have deemed the vote highlights the racism/xenophobia in this country is how much immigration dominated the discussions. Personall...

Re: Brexit

How did they mislead people? Read any of the popular websites, watch the news, read the newspapers and see how many people extracted that a leave vote was a vote to drastically reduce immigration. There's a lot of people out there that have got the wrong end of the stick for a reason. A lot of peopl...

Re: Non-Frank Gigs

The other music related incident I've been to recently was the Brewdog AGM. It's been a while since I was on. What a cracking day with brilliant music. Hunter and the Bear, Idlewild and Frightened Rabbit were all brilliant. Next year a little birdy has told me that the AGM will move from the AECC to...

Re: Non-Frank Gigs

Went to Glasgow to see Bruce Springsteen the other week. He was brilliant. Hampden isn't good for a gig though. No big plans in the future so far. Biffy Clyro in Glasgow and Belladrum festival. Party at the Place(Linlithgow) and maybe the 80s Rewind festival are on the cards. Not sure I could live t...

Re: Brexit

Whoever does it will have a mandate of 17.4m who were the democratic majority of the biggest turnout for a vote almost 25 years! The bitterness and denial of some on the side of remain is painful. Democracy is great as long as it agrees with me. The Tories ran on a promise of a referendum. They wer...

The Barrowlands

Was that one of the best gigs for you last night? That was the 5th time I've been along to see you and thought it was on another level. I'm sure even Steve enjoyed it. He was manhandled a bit though. The atmosphere was great. I was suprised how quiet and respectful it went for Song for Josh. A...
