On Blackheath - September 12th

Is Frank playing? No mention of his name on Ticketmaster when booking tickets, or the gig list for that matter, but Songkick claims he is. Can anyone shed any light? Either way I'll be there, Elbow and The Manics on the same bill isn't to be missed, but Frank would make it that little bit (ok, that ...

Re: UK Arena Tour

My drought will soon be at an end, I haven't seen a show since that night at Wembley, something I started to feel twitchy about a good few months ago.

Feb 11th can't come soon enough :)

Re: Amazing Hatfield Gig

I know the venue for the Feb 11th show, somewhere I like on Facebook posted something an hour or so ago and deleted it pretty quickly. But I have no intention of sharing a good 24 or so before the announcement, so this post is rather pointless. Unless... I rescue it with another question. Is there l...

Re: how's the believe beer??

My beer should turn up today. I have been wanting to try it for aaaaages without getting round to ordering any or hauling my arse to The Monarch if they still have it, or indeed ever did. http://www.signaturebrew.co.uk/ have a voucher code running until the 20th for 20% off 'WORKFASTERSAM' is your f...

Re: Longing For The Day

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, a properly recorded version of Longing would make a lot of people incredibly happy.

A future b-side, perhaps?

Re: Top 5 Lesser Known Frank Songs

1) Longing For The Day (Easily one of Frank's best songs, no matter what he says)
2) Rock and Roll Romance
3) Rod Stewart (I was lucky enough to have been at that Plymouth gig), er I mean Sailor's Boots
4) Sunshine State
5)... Gap Year

Re: Heresy

Pfft, everyone knows that the demo CD is the best thing Frank ever did. Longing For The Day, his best track ever, etc etc... It would certainly make my top five Frank songs, probably top three and I'm a bit of a Johnny-come-lately having fallen for Frank's music when I heard Zane Lowe play Long Liv...

Aye, so do I. But I have never been the sort to keep my CDs in any kind of order and I don't own enough vinyl to organise it, at least I'm forced to keep my digital collection in order.

Re: Three drunken questions!

Well.... I have absolutely no memory of writing this :? However drunken me does make some good points and I thank you Frank as well as everyone else for answering. :D p.s. - Might attempt to write my own song by that name before someone steals it  The same thought might well have crossed my m...

Re: Wembley Support: Recommend a playlist

Walk Away Renee really? It's a great song & how I got into Billy (on the Q Mellow Gold compilation) but his best? Doesn't really fit the criteria of fist pumping neither! In unrelated news that Q Mellow Gold CD really was amazing . Yeah, I kinda ignored the fist pumping bit! But I did go with three...

Beans on Toast: Fancy Dress Frisbee, Dirty Paki, Eggs Benedict dan le sac VS Scroobius Pip: Thou Shalt Always Kill, The Beat That My Heart Skipped, Angles Billy Bragg: The Saturday Boy, St. Swithin's Day, Walk Away Renee I'd have struggled given five songs to play with, so three was bloody difficult...

Birdy

A talented young singer or a silly little girl who needs to be stopped before she slaughters any more songs that she's far too young to understand (Skinny Love, People Help The People, The District Sleeps..., Fire & Rain...). Discuss.

Re: Wembley

I saw Dave Hause on the Revival tour in October and he was really entertaining. I see Joey Cape is heading to over to Europe for some shows beginning on April 14th, so this might make him a possibility. Could be miles off but thought I'd predict the line-up for the show as I believe (hope) Frank mi...
