Re: nOTES TO STRANGERS. 24/7

I saw one of these notes for the first time the other day ... They are far nicer than the notes I used to give to people on the train - usually saying ' your music is too loud - everyone else can hear it and it's awful ' I feel it is important to educate people about damaging their ears and blasting...

Re: Favorite Podcast of 2017

I was introduced to Song Exploder by my friend Chris and am now addicted ...

This is a particuarly good episode - as a musician I find the process of how others make their music utterly compelling.

Re: Favorite Podcast of 2017

Hi Peter I listened to the whole thing - most of the podcasts I listen to are around 30-45 mins so this was quite a beast at 2hrs. I lost interest at times but found the overall topic interesting. As someone who works, has a young family, makes music etc I find the concept of time fascinating - I tr...

Re: Songs in Adverts

(Reef still make me think of minidiscs) Ha - that's a blast from the past. I know i am not the one being asked but i think artists having their music (or versions of their songs) in adverts is no bad thing. It is no different to them being sold on physical copies / streaming sites and being played ...

Re: Lost Evenings II

I'm very much hoping to go along to some of this next year ... such a fun weekend ... apart from the bunk bed in a hostel with a rubber mattress ...

i guess for some the wipe clean bed linen works well

my bands new single - out today!

Hi FT forum folks. My band Exactly Zero releases its new single today. It's an electro-pop-rock tune called Qi Ki Cheeky which we wrote and recorded in my shed last summer. I made a little video for it which you can view here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rPcjCBszDg And it is also up on the usu...

Re: TV theme

BLIMEY ... the a capella version sounds even more similar https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnwdghReLao The whistling at the start is identical to the opening of Recovery ... Was having a look through posts on the Studio that made its Facebook and saw this when someone there also mentioned FT : As pre...

Re: introducing : Exactly Zero

So my new band are making their live debut next Thursday 1 June in Worthing, West Sussex. If I remember rightly there are some people on here who live close by so wanted to share the FB event : https://www.facebook.com/events/1307221859326251/ We'll hopefully be doing loads more over the rest of the...

Re: Lost Evenings

(The only downer to the evening: am I getting old or is it now a thing to piss in a cup and then throw said cup on the venue floor - aka all down people's legs - rather than walking 20 metres to the actual toilets?! The drunk bloke behind me - and his girlfriend - both did this. Grim.) That is ranc...

I'll also be staying in Camden after the Monday night show - don't think there are any post gig events - but I'll be around if t...

Re: This town ain't big enough

haha ... a few years ago (EKMB time) I was asking Frank to play this every time I saw him as it was the only song I hadn't heard live but he never did. I believe he has played it live before and would love to hear a full band version on this in the future. I can imagine it with the first verse full ...
