Re: I tried this at home

Hey guys, my band Termite have just put out a new demo, feedback would be very much appreciated: https://soundcloud.com/termite-uk/each-tick-a-tock Here's our bio for a rough idea of what we're like: "Described by one reviewer as ‘disgustingly contagious’, Termite are a Neo-Psychedelic 4 piece based...

Re: So.. what was the 'treat' on the Thursday of 2000 Trees?

I had a frustrating set. There were no infills - speakers that make sure people at the front can hear as well as the people at the back. And we had been planning a special encore for a few months and had to cut it. That sucked. I felt pretty bad for dropping my guitar though, not very professional,...

Re: So.. what was the 'treat' on the Thursday of 2000 Trees?

I'm pretty sure his microphone worked the whole time, and, being a sound engineer, they would not have left him without a working mic for 1 minute, let alone 40. If you couldn't hear him down the front it's because you're not in the dispersion area of the speakers each side. Imagine that the speaker...

Re: Thoughts on Broken Piano

It's alright. Not a patch on Jet Leg, and the falsetto does not work at all for me. But still, the drums are pretty ace.

Re: I tried this at home

Thought I would post this in here! I'm in a band called Termite . We're based in Huddersfield/Manchester and we just put out a new E.P called "Growth". We are kind of psychedelic, mixing some classic prog influences with space rock and jazz. Basically we just like creating a good mood. Our main inf...

Re: Anyone from Norwich/ Norfolk area??

I'm from Norfolk, about 10 mins south of Norwich. However I go to uni in Huddersfield and I'm living in Herne Bay, Kent for a year as a work placement. There are looooads of FT fans in Norwich, and Jim is getting more popular I think. Though my little brother and sister said there was only like 40 p...

Re: Elliott Smith

Elliott Smith is my all time favourite artist. His vocal layers I find amazing, and his studio work is just beautiful to listen to (particularly on headphones). Harmony wise he's so complex in places, I could spend hours studying his music. Yeah, just amazing. But I wouldn't exactly put on half of h...

Re: Brighton music EP

Yeah FF are pretty good. I get a little bored with Straight Lines' singer sometimes, and their moderate Fall Out Boy tendancies. But fighting fiction have a few really awesome songs, they're playing Trees again this year I think.

Re: 'Twas The NIght Before Wembley

Refused. Unlikely. But you know, not impossible? Hahahahahaha...stop off on their way to Coachella? I realised this as soon as I posted. Still, I hope they do a non festival UK show. I kinda hope it isn't Billy Bragg, cause I'm not a massive fan. Something like Apologies I have None would be great.
