Sad times. One of my favourite venues in Bristol.

And the Bull & Gate has just closed in London and is set to become a Young's gastropub. Urgh.

Re: Music You Inspired

That's pretty good man. Nice Ragan vibe to it and all sounds very well produced; not what I was expecting at all (in a nice way)!

Tall Ships were incredible the other night at The Fleece in Bristol. Such a good band and absolute gents as well.

Oxygen Thief is the obvious one here.

Otherwise, Warren Mallia of The Attika State is absolutely incredible with his acoustic stuff. See here.

Ieuan Williams is always looking for shows in Bristol too and would be more than happy to play.

I Know It's Over - The Smiths

One of my favourite tracks by them. Evan told me about a version by Jeff Buckley a while ago which is also good but the original is just beautiful.

Just in case you don't know it

Re: Songs You Won't Play Again..

I'm surprised To Take You Home gets played a fair bit now as that seemed to be very much on the "never again" list.

Longing For The Day will stay on the list forever though I assume.

Re: Non-Frank Gigs

I saw Frightened Rabbit on Saturday and also got to see Scott to a solo acoustic show on Friday. Simply fantastic.

Very much looking forward to Tall Ships at the end of the month as well.

Re: UK Tour April 13

pfft.. Pete and his "practicalities".

Not that it makes any difference to him; he'll be guestlist anyway.

It was good to see you at the Bath aftershow though buddy. Me and Barry were not very well the next day.

Cannot believe they're supporting Dropkick Murphys on their tour in the States. That's bloody amazing for them but fully deserved.

He's alright is this Oxygen fella live.

Why release tickets on Fridays? Some of us can't be near a computer on weekdays. Oh well..

Indeed. Addis has photos of a slightly ill looking me while doing it.

No-one will ever beat Neil Morries who did it almost twice over at 2011 Trees.

Re: Ben Marwood and Restrospective Soundtrack Players

The show with Ben, The RSP and Franz at the Windmill about 18months ago was rather special. Especially as Ben sang (and dedicated) Herbert West for me after I'd just qualified as a doctor.

I also did the RSP's 50 egg challenge.

WINNER.
