Re: Euro tour 2014

I've just moved to Barcelona and decided today to see if any gigs are on. And lo and behold, Frank is coming to town. A little piece of home in Catalonia.

Anyone else going (Jan 31)?

Re: New Tour Announcement

I heard a rumour it was Young Guns, but they are not something I'd care for.

I'd love it to be JK Samson, or Chuck Ragan - or, possible as they have a new album out, Hot Water Music. Now THAT would be brilliant. though I imagine most people would be

Re: Going to London: help me find gigs

A band called the Menzingers are playing Kingston Fighting Cocks on May 5. They are incredibly good. Re: Ballad

Personally I don't think it should be retired, because unlike The Real Damage or Substitute, I don't think anybody gets bored of listening to it. It's such a short song as it is, it can't outstay its welcome. If it was up to me, it would always be the closer (not photosynthesis).

Re: manchester: riots, intro to Rivers

I have a friend in the occupy Brighton camp - I really don't get his morals at all. He is 'protesting' against banks making money and the demise of large companies - 'fighting' for change. But at the same sense he had just bought a new Ford motor car and fills up with petrol - he rents a flat (fund...

Re: November tour

Would like to give a big fuck you to the cunt who stole my phone. Seriously dampened what was a good evening. Was a few other people who also had their phones stolen tonight, seems to be a growing problem thesedays. That really sucks. Never happened to me at a gig (purely out of luck I guess, I'm n...

should obviously play some punk covers on the lock up stage!

my vote goes to The State Lottery - Propagandhi. That would be brilliant.

Re: never was no god

That line makes me think of African-American vernacular, a.k.a. ebonics (which is actually a not-entirely-accurate synonym, but that's a discussion for another time and place), which seems fitting as Frank has said he was going for a gospel-choir type of vibe for that song. Just like the nerd I am ...

nothing as of yet, although I'm getting ever more tempted to listen to springsteen (have somehow avoided) because of ft.

it's also prevented me from listening to the smiths, because I don't think the smiths will be good for me psychologically from what I hear about them in Reasons.

What?? It's not this ... ...With lies and flimsy alibis, for your suspicious sex positions. It must be surely. I refuse to believe it's anything else. I mean suspicious expeditions fits, but in comparison is pretty lame. Why on earth would he sing that about his dad... True. In the context of the s...
