Photos from Melbourne, April 15th

So, a couple of years ago I gave up my (seemingly) full time occupation of being a bellend on the internet in favour of a career taking photos. I figured I was better off shooting people than pissing them off. Last Wednesday I was fortunate enough to shoot 'ol mate Frank at the Corner Hotel in Melbo...

Re: Who should win The Best Troublemaker Award?

Disappointing lack of votes for 'ray'. Sign of the times, I guess.

Re: First ever million dead gig

Has everyone read this: http://www.tvisbetter.co.uk/million_dead/ ? Enjoyable enough, but neglects everything beyond the recording of the first album. I WANT THE WHOLE STORY YOU BASTARDS! That's because it's part 1. Ah. Good news all round. Thoroughly enjoyable read. Was this an online type thing o...

Re: Looks like we have our first Mongol Horde song

Somehow managed to miss this.

Is that Matt Nasir playing guitar? Good effort.

Can we expect a return to long hair and (god forbid) cowboy hats?

Melbourne

Right, got tickets to take the wife to see Frank playing in Melbourne in a couple of week (she thinks that everyone from England, me included, are pompous tossers, so maybe tone it down a bit?). Basically, I haven't seen Frank for about three years (Truck Festival 2009) and have only seen him play w...

Re: The I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY Thread

A lot of the better agencies tend to be regional, what with Austraya being rather a large country, so i can't help much with stuff on the gold coast. Sorry.

Melbourne was recently voted the most livable city in the world. I certainly could've ended up in worse places. Whereabouts did you stay?

Re: The I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY Thread

Gisborne, about 40 minutes north of Melbourne. You won't have any trouble getting a WHV - it can all be done online and takes about ten minutes. If it's short term then just register with an agency and they'll get you in somewhere pretty quick-sharp. It won't be glamorous but you'll meet plenty of c...

Re: The I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY Thread

Australia IS expensive, but you can also make a ridiculous amount of money working here. If it's only for three months then surely pretty much any job will do, within reason? What happened with surfers's's apostrophe? How are you set for visas? Have you already had a 'WHV' or can you get one for whe...
